About

powerPerfector's Voltage Power Optimisation (VPO) gives energy, cost and carbon savings by efficiently optimising a site's supply voltage. By optimising the voltage, electrical equipment runs more efficiently and consumes less energy. powerPerfector's power conditioning benefits create a more efficient, robust and reliable electrical supply for your site, protecting your entire electrical infrastructure. Our energy efficiency solution is unparalleled in terms of reliability and savings. It comes with a 15 year warranty and has a 50 year lifespan. VPO has maintained a 100% reliability record over 18 years and over 180,000 installations worldwide. Our simple four‐step evaluation process is free and without obligation and our savings estimates are underwritten by a guarantee on your Return on Investment. Our energy efficiency technology is trusted by some of the biggest names in energy and climate change. They include the energy regulator (Ofgem), the government's climate change department (DECC), the UK's main electricity distributor (National Grid), the UK's environmental guardians (Environment Agency), 160 local authorities and 20 government agencies.

Voltage Optimisation™ agenda: Tackling climate change

Why cut carbon?

Governments across the globe have responded to climate change research by pledging cuts in greenhouse gas emissions. The UK Government set legally binding emission reduction targets of at least 80% by 2050 in The Climate Change Act of 2008 - and reductions in CO2 emissions of at least 26% by 2020, against a 1990 baseline. As a result, business in the UK is coming under increasing pressure to reduce its carbon footprint, by addressing inefficiencies in processes and equipment.

Lord Stern points the way

In the globally authoritative Stern Review produced for the UK Government in 2006, Lord Stern was unequivocal about how this should be achieved: 'Effective action on the scale required to tackle climate change requires a widespread shift to new or improved technology in key sectors such as power generation, transport and energy use.'

powerPerfector's Role

At a national level, the installation of powerPerfector units across the country in all industrial, commercial and agricultural buildings could reduce the UK's total CO2 emissions by 2.223% at a stroke. In addition, a powerPerfector prolongs the operating life of electrical equipment, reducing non-recyclable waste.

How is it possible to make such large reductions in carbon and energy use?

There is a colossal hidden cost to British business that arises from a discrepancy between the optimum voltage needed to run electrical equipment at peak efficiency (220V) and the actual voltage that arrives on your site (anything from 216V to 253V). Because of this discrepancy, the average UK business receives, and pays for, up to 20% more electricity than the equipment they use actually needs. And of course, the same is true of carbon - up to 20% more than necessary is being produced day in, day out by businesses that aren't powerPerfected.

Voltage Optimisation™. Cut your energy use and reduce carbon by up to 20%

The principle is very easy to grasp - with or without a degree in electrical engineering. The powerPerfector unit sits between the meter and the main distribution board of your building and no matter what voltage arrives at your site - whether too low or too high - it can optimise the voltage so that it is closer to what your equipment was originally designed to work at for maximum efficiency. The unique technology involved, Voltage Optimisation™, not only cuts energy use and carbon emissions by an average of 13% (and sometimes, up to 20%) it also prolongs the life of anything in your business that runs on electricity, from a £500 laptop to a £1m lathe or printer.

What sort of businesses benefit from powerPerfector?

Yours probably. Almost 90% of British businesses - from huge multinationals to hill farms in Wales, charities to utilities companies - pay for more electricity than they actually need. The answer is, get powerPerfected and take the opportunity to micro-manage your power supply for the first time ever. Who can afford to produce up to 20% more CO2 than they need to?

When energy prices were lower and CO2 emissions didn't figure on the balance sheet, many businesses felt they could afford to live with the phenomenon of over-voltage from the Grid - if they even realised it existed. But where is the business today that can afford to ignore a technology which corrects this and in doing so, contributes savings that are the equivalent of 5% more in sales?

powerPerfector. There's nothing quite like it

powerPerfector is indisputably the lead technology when it comes to energy saving technology. That's why Defra are rolling it out across their whole estate. It's why businesses like BP and British Energy are amongst our customers. These are very demanding people. In doing so they chose not to invest in transformers - an old technology at the mercy of mechanical failure that has been adapted to try and solve a problem it was never designed for.

The Great Crested Newt, the Climate Change Bill and sustainability

powerPerfector technology effectively greens your power supply. Whatever percentage reduction it achieves for you in energy use is matched by the same reduction in CO2 emissions. This is truly sustainable technology. Good for newts and very good for you at a time when businesses everywhere are coming under increasing pressure to manage their carbon footprint.
