Carbon Trust showcases powerPerfector savings

New guidance on Voltage Management technology by the Carbon Trust has highlighted the benefits of powerPerfector's Voltage Power Optimisation (VPO)® technology.

Of nine newly published case studies in the Voltage Management section of the organisation's website, eight feature powerPerfector clients, reflecting the company's market dominance.

powerPerfector's VPO technology gives energy, cost and carbon savings by efficiently optimising a site's supply voltage, whilst reducing business continuity risk by improving the power supply onsite. After optimising the voltage, equipment runs more efficiently, consumes less energy, and has a substantially extended lifecycle.

Successful powerPerfector installations at Bath & North East Somerset Council, Angus Council, Colchester Borough Council, Derbyshire County Council, Salford City Council, Stroud District Council, Worcestershire County Council and Norwich City Council are documented - making average annual savings of 9 per cent.

Ian Gould, Head of Public Sector at powerPerfector said: "Picking the right supplier is vital. Installations on a building's incoming power supply hold far more risk than demand side installations like low energy lights or variable speed drives. If the supply goes down tens and even hundreds of thousands of pounds can be lost and the health and safety risks escalate dramatically. Our seventeen year 100 per cent reliability record is unique in the marketplace."

powerPerfector is trusted by some of the biggest names in energy and the environment, including DECC, Defra, the Environment Agency, Ofgem and National Grid. Tesco have over 1500 units and continue to roll out in their estate.

"Our savings are backed by a guarantee which removes any financial risk from the installation. Every day, our clients save a combined £100,000 and 560,000kg of carbon dioxide, whilst mitigating business risk from spikes and variable power supply quality." added Ian Gould.
