powerPerfector's Voltage Power Optimisation (VPO) gives energy, cost and carbon savings by efficiently optimising a site's supply voltage. By optimising the voltage, electrical equipment runs more efficiently and consumes less energy. powerPerfector's power conditioning benefits create a more efficient, robust and reliable electrical supply for your site, protecting your entire electrical infrastructure. Our energy efficiency solution is unparalleled in terms of reliability and savings. It comes with a 15 year warranty and has a 50 year lifespan. VPO has maintained a 100% reliability record over 18 years and over 180,000 installations worldwide. Our simple four‐step evaluation process is free and without obligation and our savings estimates are underwritten by a guarantee on your Return on Investment. Our energy efficiency technology is trusted by some of the biggest names in energy and climate change. They include the energy regulator (Ofgem), the government's climate change department (DECC), the UK's main electricity distributor (National Grid), the UK's environmental guardians (Environment Agency), 160 local authorities and 20 government agencies.

Buckinghamshire County Council Save 13% On Electricity Consumption, Costs and Carbon Emissions

The Public Sector has been under pressure from Central Government to reduce carbon emissions in line with Kyoto targets. To date, many clean technologies have deterred the public sector with their 5-20 year paybacks and significant capital investment. Now Buckinghamshire County Council has invested in powerPerfector and reduced carbon emissions by 82 tonnes per annum and saved 13% in electricity costs with a 50% return on investment in their New County offices.

At a time when every newspaper is full of news on climate change, carbon emissions and renewable energy, it is inefficient that all generators of UK electricity have to supply higher voltage than is actually needed just because the distribution chain is unbalanced. powerPerfector has addressed the problem of over supply at the customer's premises by selling a voltage power optimisation solution that reduces electricity consumption across the site's entire electrical network. powerPerfector is providing a win/win solution for the public sector and the environment.

Recent research of over 250 business and public sector sites reveals that;

· 80% are paying for more electricity than they actually need
· 80% could reduce their electricity costs by over 12%
· 60% could reduce their electricity costs by over 13%
· 20% could reduce their electricity costs by over 15%

Frank Downes, Portfolio Holder for Resources at Buckinghamshire County Council said, "The County Council is committed to reducing carbon emissions - the efficient use of energy is key to this. Reducing electrical consumption across the property portfolio has, and will continue to be difficult due to the increasing demands of equipment. The installation of powerPerfector at County Hall has reduced electrical energy consumption by 13%, with a saving of 82 tonnes of carbon emissions per annum. Over a five-year period this represents a 13%, or £60,000 reduction on our electricity bill. We are now looking at installing these units across many more of our Buckinghamshire properties."

Elliot Morley, Minister for Climate Change and Environment said, "The government supports investment in technology that can help to meet the environmental challenges we face, such as tackling climate change, cutting pollution and saving energy".

Angus Robertson, CEO of powerPerfector comments, "Buckinghamshire County Council is investing in powerPerfector because we are delivering a clean, green solution that enables them to reduce their electricity consumption and carbon footprint. powerPerfector is providing the Council with a payback period of 2 years - this is a 50% return on capital and you can borrow money at 7%".

Keith Baker, General Manager at the Environmental Technology Centre at the University of Nottingham said, "After analysing the performance report of powerPerfector at Buckinghamshire County Council, the technology will not only provide year-on-year energy and cost savings but will also reduce wear and tear on costly equipment".

powerPerfector is a new way of dealing with the historic problem of excess voltage. It is one of a growing number of second-generation clean, green technologies that offer a win/win for the Public Sector and the environment.
