Field Calibration of Portable Gas Analysers - Made Easy
New from Geotech is a free downloadable: How-To-Calibrate Guide
Even the most accurate landfill gas and biogas analysers may need field calibration between manufacturer service and calibration. The reasons include users' needs for the most accurate results possible or to meet a site operator's in-house requirements and especially for authoritative audit, inspection and consultant's reports. For this it is essential field calibration is done correctly. Fortunately the key steps which Geotech recommends from its years of experience, could not be easier or simpler. They apply to all makes, everywhere.
While not all users carry out field calibration of portable units, those who do should use manufacturer-supplied calibration gas bottles fitted with factory-set regulators. Users should look to manufacturers for on-site training, on-line manuals and specifications, consumables ordering and down-the-line phone support. Most important of all, the oldest advice around always applies, 'check the instruction manual'.
