STEM Drive Ltd
Stem Drive Ltd manufactures and installs patented fluidic mixers for mixing and aerating liquids and slurries in the chemical, process, food manufacturing, and water and effluent treatment industries. · Submerged aerators / mixers The patented STEM Drive fluidic aerator / mixer is designed for systems requiring both aeration and mixing. Manufactured from stainless steel, the aerator / mixer is suitable for use with sludges and industrial effluent. As the system uses no moving parts within the media being aerated / mixed, and the power source is outside the tank, maintenance is kept to a minimum. · Sludge aeration Systems are suitable for aeration / mixing to control odours and eliminate stratification within sludge. Air or gas is used as the prime power source. The mixers are fully submersible, require practically no maintenance, and are suitable for use in arduous and hazardous environments. · Sitework Systems are easy to install, and can be fitted without emptying tanks, eliminating the need for plant shutdown. As no moving parts are used within the tank, maintenance can take place out-with the sludge, again minimising system downtime

Thames Water Sludge Air Mixing Work For STEM Drive Ltd.
STEM Drive Ltd has just completed a turnkey project for Thames Water for its patented, non-blocking, air mixing system for maintaining solids in suspension at Wargrave STW, Reading.
The project objective was to achieve effective mixing in four sludge holding tanks. Edward Eastham, Project Manager says "The product has performed well and was a cost effective solution."
STEM Drive Ltd manufactures and installs patented, submersible, fluidic mixers for mixing and aerating liquids and slurries in the chemical, process, food manufacturing, and water and effluent treatment industries. The innovative mixing system for maintaining solids in suspension was exhibited in October 2004 at WEFTEC.04, New Orleans, USA, and IFEST, Ghent, Belgium and will be exhibited at IWEX, Birmingham, UK in October 2005. The mixer has no moving parts, is non-blocking, maintenance free, suitable for use in arduous and hazardous environments and is widely used by the major water companies and authorities in the UK. The external power source is out-with the mixing vessel, keeping maintenance to a minimum, is usually compressed air, biogas, nitrogen or steam. Systems are easy to install, and can be fitted without emptying tanks, eliminating the need for plant shutdown.
