LRQA ISO Standards Update: ISO 14001:2015 published

The journey to ISO 14001:2015 was completed on 15 September 2015 with the publication of the new standard.

Available to buy from lrqastandards.com, ISO 14001:2015 was developed by the ISO Technical Committee TC 207/SC1 WG5 and has been revised using the common management system framework introduced by Annex SL.  This new famework sees the standard structured into 10 clauses – this will be the case for all new and revised ISO standards.

Speaking of the publication, Steve Williams, LRQA System and Governance Manager said, "The latest version of ISO 14001 represents the evolution of Environmental Management System standards, now better meeting the needs of modern organisations and their complex supply chains. ISO TC 207/SC 1 WG 5 are to be congratulated on their good work.”

Transition to ISO 14001:2015

LRQA has been actively seeking accreditation from the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) in order to deliver accredited certification against the revised standard for our clients.

Until accreditation is awarded, any organisation wishing to complete their transitional assessment to ISO 14001:2015 can do so and will be issued with an unaccredited certificate. Once LRQA has been awarded accreditation, any unaccredited certificate will be reissued.

With all the major ISO standards being revised, LRQA is at the forefront of communicating the changes. We offer a range of assessment services as well public and in-house training courses, all aimed at helping to ensure that organisations worldwide have a smooth transition to the new standards.
