The centre for environmental research and training provides a focus for the University of Birmingham's extensive expertise in environmental research and teaching. There are currently over 150 staff actively engaged in a broad range of environmental disciplines including: clean processing technology, product life cycle analysis, environmental risk management, sustainable use of natural processes and materials, management of freshwater resources and environment and human health. The centre acts as a gateway enabling external users to access the university's expertise in particular, we are commited to working with industry to help them respond to supply chain, consumer and legislative pressures by providing access to latest information expert advice, high quality training, advanced research and new technology
