Screening capture ratio of 94% for Haigh at NSEF

Successful testing of Haigh's latest version of the popular ACE Screener at the National Screen Evaluation Facility (NSEF) at Chester le Street STW shows a staggering 94% screening capture ratio while maintaining strong performance on the other key characteristics of the ACE Screen.

While a range of 2mm, 3mm and 6mm screens are long established in the market, Haigh have taken the opportunity to measure the performance of the finer screens to assist end users in the identification of the benefits that finer screening bring, along with the specific flow and headloss characteristics. The testing also showed 86% at 3mm and confirmed the established market leading metric of 64% for the 6mm version.

Thompson RPM are well recognised by the industry both in the UK and overseas, and their independent rigorous testing methodology is proving incredibly useful to all stakeholders. While Haigh has many ultra fine installations already in place, this is the first time that formalised independent testing has been conducted at this level at the National Screenings Evaluation Facility.

David Freeman, Haigh, comments "This development, and the formal testing supporting it, allows our team to assist customers in particular with solutions that involve equipment downstream of our screens to have as much inorganic and fibrous material removed as possible, such as MBR plant".

The unique cartridge based design of the ACE Screener screen plates also allows ultra-fine screening to be introduced at exciting sites without major capital expenditure, plant downtime or project risk. A full report is available on request or for download on the Haigh website - www.haigh.co.uk
