Mr Wayne Coulter
Cranfield University offers financial support to students interested in the environment
Cranfield University is recognised internationally for its work in relation to the environment. Underpinned by the expertise of staff in our Sustainable Systems and newly established Natural Resources departments, Cranfield offers a range of specialist part- and full-time Masters courses, research programmes and short courses designed for busy environment professionals and graduates interested in careers in the sector.
Recognising that UK first degree graduates can have difficulty in meeting the cost of full-time postgraduate study, Cranfield has funding to support students on a number of our full-time Masters' courses focussed on the environment. These include:
· Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Masters Studentships available to graduates applying for the Environmental Water Management option of the Water Management MSc starting in October 2006. The NERC Studentships cover the course fees, a stipend together with a contribution towards research and fieldwork costs.
· Suitably qualified students studying for Cranfield's two year MTech in Water Processes will receive £10,500 per annum and a laptop. Their tuition fees will be covered.
· The Lorch Foundation continues its long association with Water Sciences at Cranfield by providing a bursary of £5,000 plus fees to a suitably-qualified student undertaking a research project based on pure water treatment in conjunction with their taught Masters' programme.
