WPL launches new fit & forget grease guzzler
Wastewater treatment specialist, WPL Ltd has launched its second-generation grease management solution - the new Grease Guzzler. Featuring patented incubation technology and an eco-friendly design, the wall-mounted unit actively breaks down and digests grease, oils and fats using naturally occurring micro-organisms. This eliminates the main cause of drain blockage, odours and the need for messy, unhygienic grease traps.
A self contained stainless steel fronted unit, the Grease Guzzler is designed to complement the commercial kitchen. During operation, it utilises formula S65 - a multi-strain mixed culture bio-fluid rich in extra cellular enzymes. The formula is released, at pre-programmed times, into an incubation tank where it is gently heated to stimulate bacteria multiplication. Finally, the drain line is dosed and total grease degradation takes place. As the system manages all grease deposits, no additional drain cleaning chemicals are required.
The Grease Guzzler is designed for use in any application where waste grease can build up in drains, either on commercial sites or further down the water treatment process. Once installed, the S65 concentrate is replaced six monthly as part of a service contract, minimizing customer disruption and the need for storage of biochemical drums on site
