WPL launches Compact Microscreen Drum Filter

Waste-water treatment specialist, WPL has developed a new range of BMF microscreen drum filters, for automated water filtration. Constructed from non-corrosive materials, the systems feature a unique design that maximises the surface area of the filtration media, offering high removal efficiency at a low cost. The range is ideal for filtration on sewage treatment plants, for manufacturing and processing, power and heating stations, fish farms and zoological applications.

Suitable for concrete channel or above ground installation, the new microfilters are supplied fully optimised for individual applications. Each model provides a large flow capacity in a small footprint and quick visual inspection of all parts, including media.

WPL's inclusive design eliminates the need for bulky, additional equipment. Media and metal sieves can be easily fixed without any adjustments, eliminating the need for filtration grates and frames with fixed filtration cloth. Each unit includes a mudwell and is offered with a gravity feed discharge pipe or available with an optional mudwell pump. In addition, all filters are equipped with their own backwash pumps that use filtered water to clean media, and filtration is completely gravitational, with headloss of just 250-400mm.
