BWEA30: More space for exhibitors - Strong sales at UK's key renewables conference drive increase in floor area

BWEA, the UK's leading renewable energy trade association, has increased the amount of space available to exhibitors at the forthcoming BWEA30 conference in October, following very strong sales during the summer. The conference will be held at the ExCel Conference Centre in London's Docklands.

Helen Jones, BWEA Director of Events and Marketing, said: 'We have twice as many exhibitors registered so far at this year's conference compared to BWEA29. The renewables sector remains buoyant and the demand for exhibition space has been so strong that we had to negotiate with the ExCel an extension to the floor space available."

BWEA's annual conference and exhibition has become the key event on the UK's renewable energy conference calendar. This year's event will welcome over 170 exhibitors and 2,500 delegates, including senior wind, wave and tidal energy sector executives, political decision makers, journalists and financiers.

"Our conferences have come a long way since the first event in 1979. The fact that we have had to extend the exhibition space this year shows the level of interest in wind, wave and tidal. Business and media enquiries have also exceeded expectations and we are expecting a record turnout this year," said Jones.

The conference starts on Tuesday 21st October and ends on Thursday 23rd 2008.
