Gee and Karis join forces in Scotland
Gee & Company - the UK's premier chemical dosing and effluent treatment specialist - joins forces with one of Scotland's leading technical services providers to the waste water industry - Karis Technical Services.
Coatbridge-based Karis will partner Gee across all its business streams including chemical dosing; effluent treatment; chemical storage tanks and Signal pumps.
The principal aim of the partnership is to develop new large scale, high value systems in Scotland, while providing excellent local support for Gee's existing clients.
Karis Technical Services is headed up by David Kerr and David Ashby. Both men bring 25 years' worth of technical design and engineering experience in chemical dosing and effluent treatment control; skills which will be instrumental in driving the partnership's business forward.
Kerr also brings to the table a wealth of direct experience in Gee's target markets having spent much of his working life in the water and waste water industry: "We're ideally placed to build on Gee's long pedigree in the effluent treatment field in Scotland. We bring the local expertise to add to their technical and engineering skills, and are really looking forward to working with them."
The partnership is firmly based on the shared values of great customer service, leading-edge technical excellence and in-depth industry knowledge.
Barry Green, Sales Director of Gee & Co. comments: "We are delighted to be working with Karis Technical Services - this partnership is unique in that it can deliver both packaged and traditional chemical dosing solutions with equal pedigree and expertise."
Green sees factory-built packaged dosing plant as having a particularly strong role to play in Scotland, where the notoriously changeable and often wet weather can create costly site delays. Both Gee's own package plant and the KB and KTB systems designed by Gee's sister brand Michael Smith Systems, are particularly suited to this demanding environment, as being pre-fabricated they will reduce site build-time, and consequently overall project costs.
The partnership's plans for the future include developing the utilities marketplace along with the key growth task of identifying new clients for Gee's existing product and service range. Barry Green concludes: "This is an opportunity for Gee to build a solid Scottish business in chemical dosing and effluent treatment.
By combining our strengths as an international leader in the field with Karis' proven sector knowledge, we will create a powerful and expert player in the Scottish market. The future looks bright for both partners."
