Partech Instruments and EauxSys (UK) announce merger
Partech Instruments, Charlestown and EauxSys (UK) Limited, Camelford, have announced the merger of their business operations.
Operating as Partech Instruments, the merger creates a single resource for the development and manufacture of water quality monitoring and analytical instrumentation for the international water and waste water treatment industries. The merger positions the Company as one of the UK's leading independent manufacturers within the UK water instrumentation industry.
Announcing the merger, Angus Fosten, Partech Sales & Marketing Director, and David Precious, Managing Director EauxSys (UK) Limited, said that the move will have enormous benefits in terms of product development and market growth.
"Both companies develop and manufacture complementary products and have a common customer base, in that they provide instrumentation
for all of the UK water companies, the Environment Agency and for industrial companies operating water treatment plants," Angus Fosten. "As a single entity, we shall be able to share our research and manufacturing capabilities and invest greater financial resources in the development of new products."
Due to its manufacturing, sales structure and marketing operation, Partech Instruments has the larger presence and brand recognition within the international water industry. Partech Instruments has more than 40 years of experience within the water industry and is recognised as the leader in suspended solids measurement and an authority on the essential technologies for water, wastewater and effluent analysis. Partech has distribution throughout Europe and other parts of the world and regularly participates in government-sponsored export missions.
EauxSys (UK) Limited, having been established in 1994 to design and manufacture instrumentation for water quality monitoring has won three DTI 'SMART 'awards and in 2002, it received a DTI 'SMART Achievement Reward' for the commercial benefits derived from previous projects.
"EauxSys (UK) Limited has grown organically and tended to concentrate on the development of specialist products for specific applications," says David Precious. "Partech has a far larger sales structure and manufacturing facilities
and this will allow EauxSys products to be marketed to a wider range of customers and to be produced in higher quantities."
Partech Instruments is now offering a wide range of instruments and analysers for water and wastewater applications. Parameters available include; Suspended Solids, Turbidity, Sludge Blanket Detection, Ammonia, Phosphate, Iron, Aluminium, Manganese, Colour, Oil on Water, pH, Conductivity, Redox and Dissolved Oxygen. We are also able to supply packages to suit the requirements of intake protection, effluent monitoring and water quality monitoring applications.
"With governments and environmental agencies worldwide placing greater conditions on the discharge of treated water and effluent, there is a fast growing demand for the instruments that Partech and EauxSys manufacture," comments Angus Fosten. "Unlike large corporate takeovers this merger will retain the best of both companies, including the extensive application and design experience of the EauxSys team."
The merger will involve the relocation of EauxSys (UK) Limited the short distance from Camelford to Partech's premises in St Austell. It is anticipated that the planned growth of the Partech Instruments will secure and increase employment in St Austell.
Customers of both companies can be assured of continuity of supply and of course the high level of customer service that they are used to from Partech.
