Defra Service And Support Contract Awarded To ENVIRO TECHNOLOGY
A two-year service and support contract for 126 analysers on DEFRA's Automatic Urban & Rural Network (AURN) has been awarded to Gloucestershire based air quality monitoring specialists, Enviro Technology Services Plc.
The company's contract commenced on 1st April 2009 and will continue until 2011, with an option to extend after this time for a further two years until 2013.
Based on their last service and support award, Enviro Technology has reported a 125% increase in the amount of analysers they are now responsible for.
Says Enviro Technology's technical director, Mike Webley: "This is a significant win for us. The AURN has been in operation since 1992 and we have been working with DEFRA on various service and support contracts since that time but never before have we been responsible for so many analysers on the network.
"We seek to constantly evolve and continuously improve the service we give our customers and this win just shows how successful we are in doing this."
Enviro Technology will be responsible for the AURN analysers' maintenance, repairs, breakdown and servicing.
Says Bureau Veritas' (BV) project director for the Central Management and Coordination Unit of the AURN, Dr Richard Maggs: "Enviro Technology was awarded this contract as they demonstrated how they could give DEFRA and the AURN the highest quality service with good local support and, most importantly, value-for-money."
