Continuous Detection Of Up To Five Gases Simultaneously With New Draeger X-Am 7000
Providing continuous detection of up to five gases simultaneously, the new Draeger X-am 7000 brings a flexible solution to individual monitoring tasks. Utilising a combination of more than 25 sensors, it enables the detection of over 100 toxic and combustible gases and vapours as well as oxygen and is ideal for use in all areas of industry.
Incorporating DraegerSensors to ensure a fast response time with minor cross sensitivities, high accuracy and long life (typically 5 years), it can be equipped with three electrochemical and two catalytic bead or infrared sensors.
Each sensor is pre-calibrated and is recognised automatically by the instrument. This means that the X-am 7000 can be reconfigured simply by changing a sensor and without requiring additional service or maintenance. In addition, the measuring range of these sensors can be changed to any another gas detected by that sensor, by the push of a button and without needing recalibration. As a result, the accuracy and range of the monitored substance is substantially increased.
The search for leaks in flanges, shut off devices and valves, etc., has also been simplified by the addition of a new, flexible gooseneck probe. When in tracking mode, this innovative development generates an increasing or decreasing rate of beeps in accordance with the gas concentration detected.
Easy and simple to use, the software menu was designed in partnership with Draeger customers and the large graphic display and alarm auto-zero function ensures easy recognition of the values and symbols. The TWA and STEL values, as well as functions such as peak hold, can be viewed or switched on quickly and with minimal training. In addition, a built-in data memory can log up to 3000 sets of values and data can be transmitted and evaluated on a PC using an infrared interface together with the GasVision software package.
With loud audible and 360º visual alarms as well as dust and splash water protection, the X-am 7000 can also be submersed without damage and a specially designed rubber boot protects the instrument against mechanical damage.
Featuring intelligent charging management, the newly designed rechargeable battery block guarantees full functionality of the instrument for up to 20 hours (depending on the battery type). An alkaline battery pack is also available.
Meeting the requirements IP67 and carrying ATEX, UL and CSA Approvals, the X-am 7000 is the latest addition to Draeger Safety range of portable gas detection instruments.
