Leixlip Water Treatment Works saves 500,000 a year with ABB drives

Leixlip Water Treatment Plant is saving over 500,000 a year on its pumping costs thanks to the installation of ABB variable speed drives. The Leixlip Water Treatment Works in Co. Kildare is the second largest water treatment facility in Ireland. With a capacity of 175,000 m3 a day, it supplies over 30 percent of the drinking water requirements of the Greater Dublin Region, serving Fingal, Kildare and the northern part of Dublin City.

ABB drives save £100,000 per year energy costs for Severn Trent Water

Severn Trent Water (STW) is saving around £100,000 per year on energy costs thanks to the installation of ABB variable speed drives at its Wanlip Sewage Treatment Works.



ABB software cuts maintenance costs

Severn Trent Water is making savings of up to £2,400 a week on pump maintenance after upgrading its pump control software, which was supplied by ABB.



Tailored AC drive modules for water and wastewater applications

A series of low voltage AC drive modules, dedicated to applications in the water and wastewater sector, is introduced by ABB. The easy-to-install and use ABB industrial drive modules are available from 1.1 to 400 kW in the voltage range 380 to 480 V and are suitable for single pump and parallel pumps systems.
