Propelair Ltd was founded by Garry Moore in 2001 to develop a new generation of super-efficient toilets. It attracted external investment to develop the technology with a number of Russell Group universities and world leading research organisations, which culminated in successful product trials and verification in 2008. The company received further investment in 2010 to develop its UK manufacturing facility, and in 2013 Propelair achieved full production status and WRAS certification after successfully completing WRAS testing to 200,000 cycles - equivalent to 27 flushes per day over 20 years. It was also awarded the BSI Kitemark and added to the ECA Water Technology List. The official launch of the Propelair 1.5 litre flush toilet took place at Ecobuild, London, in March that year. Propelair's manufacturing facility holds ISO 9001 and AS 9100 quality standards, and the company employs a highly skilled, specialised workforce with a detailed knowledge of industry requirements. By manufacturing in the UK Propelair is able to guarantee the quality and traceability of its products, while offering efficient lead times and minimising its carbon footprint within the supply chain.
