ISIS by Halcrow ...it's just got 2D!
Halcrow has released ISIS 2D.
It is a fully hydrodynamic computational engine designed to work either standalone or within the ISIS suite of products enabling dynamic interaction between ISIS Professional (1D) and ISIS 2D.
ISIS Professional is one of the leading software packages for 1D river modelling. It is used extensively throughout the world on flood forecasting, flood alleviation scheme designs, flood risk mapping, flood risk assessments and catchment management planning projects.
ISIS 2D has been developed to complement the capabilities of WBM's 2D modelling software, TUFLOW, allowing you to purchase both ISIS 2D and TUFLOW from Halcrow. It provides a licensing and pricing structure that allows you to purchase only what you need and provides the opportunity to network licences.
At the core of ISIS 2D there are two integrated numerical solvers - Alternating Direction Implicit (ADI) and Total Variation Diminishing (TVD). These have been specifically developed to tackle different types of hydraulic conditions within rivers, estuaries and floodplains.
ISIS 2D is currently available at an introductory price of £2,950 (ex. VAT) with the network licence manager and TVD solver available for an additional cost of £950 each.
Alternatively, ISIS Free can be downloaded from our website (www.halcrow.com/isis) which has all of the same features as ISIS Professional and ISIS 2D but is limited to 250 1D nodes, 2,500 2D cells and a 10MB restriction on ISIS Mapper input files.
